Movies

Anything big to watch, but done in one sitting. Short films live in misc, while anything with episodes lives in shows.

Leon the Professional

Twenty Second of April.

I was so sick when I watched this LOL. Was staying at my friend's house and he picked it, because what?!?! How have you not seen this yet Ian?? It's such a classic! I thought it was interesting, I like the old New York vibes and cinematography, and a 12 year old adoptee assassin is a really fun idea, but fuck it icked me. I don't wanna see a kid flirt with an adult and not get shut down straight away. Ignoring that (a critical theme of the film) it was quite good. Lol.

Project Hail Mary!!!!

Twenty Seventh of March.

I absolutely loved this movie. I went into it expecting a pretty standard sci-fi action type thing, which was entirely wrong. I haven't read the book, and I don't really know anything about it, but now I am considering it. One of my friends dragged me out to see it, and by the end of it I had given hand pins and needles from suspense-squeezing his hand. I loved the way Rocky and Grace communicated, and how you were just as in the dark as Grace was about whether he was friendly or not. The ending was really nice, I thought. How even though he got so happy to realise he'd go home, he still chose to help another thing at his own expense, just because it was the right thing to do, and how he gets to go back to teaching. Wonderful movie. Haven't seen something this good in a very very long time.
