Baby's first festival! Also my second concert ever. It was really very cool. I went with my best friend fairly late in the day. He wanted to see Weezer and ATL, and I wanted to see TOOL and Garbage. Weezer was Weezer, they played Celebrity Skin though which was cool. I don't really know ATL. I was unimpressed by Garbage. The guys in the band were great, but Shirley was kind of not fun. She is getting older and you can hear it in her voice, which is kind of cool, but she hasn't really adjusted her performance style to match. Soured the band for me just a little, but whatever. TOOL was cool as hell. I'm so glad I got to see them. Insanely talented musicians, and they seemed like they just played whatever they wanted. Absolutely loved it. I had a really good view of the drumkit :) Very very good evening.
I have loved Dodie for sooooo very long. Very good musician I think. She's made a lot of music that I adore, but this album isn't quite my style. I love 'The Answer'. Feels like a miror into the mindset I've been keeping about a certain long-running struggle of mine. Pretty far out of pas Dodie sound, and it's really cool that she's still trying new things. I think technically and lyrically it is a lovely album, and Darling Angel Baby is also a very fun song, but it's just not my thing, and that is fine. Still love Dodie.
