I am Ian! I am generally very bad at computers, but the personal web revival (or whatever it's actually called) got me interested, as did a friend who showed me some Neocities project a while ago. I'm not sure he knows that he's prompted this...
I'm a bit of a geek, into a bunch of science and humanities type stuff, as you will see if you keep looking around here. I love love love learning, and will spend hours reading, or watching videos, or talking about things, just to understand the world a little bit better. At the moment, I'm most interested in linguistics, body modification, philosophy, and psychology! I also have some more dormant interests in biology, chemistry, maths (though I am horrible at it), sociology, agriculture, native Australian birds and plants, and religions. If it teaches me about the way that people operate, I have likely had some level of interest in it at some point in time.
In terms of hobbies, my big three are baking/cooking (sun), anything artsy (moon), and learning (rising). I absolutlely love to create. If it makes something, I have wanted to learn it. I have a vague understanding of a million different ways to work with textiles, I garden, I paint miniatures and occasionally run tabletop roleplay games, I sculpt, I write, I play some instruments, and I have a million and one skills on my to learn list. I value learning and creating very very much, and I feel that if you do not make at least some things for yourself, you are doing yourself a huge disservice.
