Some bones to pick with veganism

I don't get the decision of short term animal welfare being worth more than keeping the planet healthy? Here is my ongoing list of things that I've gotten into arguments over!

- Eat honey! it keeps the bees alive, and they're sovereign citizens anyways. Bitches do not stay where they do not want to stay. Mistreated bees will relocate and create their own hives.
- Pleather is worse for the planet than leather. If you are going to live vegan as well as eat vegan, why not buy second-hand leather instead of vegan leather? It's not like they kill another cow when you re-sell your boots on Depop. Sure there are mushroom types, and I really hope and think that one day they'll be viable solutions, but as of now, it's all mixed with plastic. Leather stays useful longer anyways, and it is kinder to the world than building up more plastic shite.
- Nut milks are kind of awful. Almond milk uses insane amounts of water compared to cow's milk. Also they're more processed than they need to be. I really enjoy oat milk, so this is a little glass-house of me. Make it yourself I guess, if you can. Just a lot of waiting.
- Meat replacements. Holy fuk!. I myself have fallen victim to the pre-packaged meat replacement sham (I love you, local butcher veggie burger). Ultra-processed, mystery food with one million ingredients is not good for you, or the planet!!! Steer clear baby grill! Eat whole foods! Please!
- Yeah idk I think that's all
